This affordable spa helps guests lose weight not only by creating personalized diet plans, but also by helping them gain healthier attitudes on diet and exercise, leading to good eating habits and lifestyle changes after they have left the spa.

Property:
The Palms is located on a converted old movie-colony estate with Spanish-style buildings and cottages.

Spa:
The full-service spa includes seven treatment rooms, a beauty salon, and fully equipped exercise facilities. Guests can cool down with an aloe-rehydrating wrap, which consists of a lavender mist and tea tree aloe gel blanket, or try a Pancha Karma massage that involves two trained therapists simultaneously applying warm sesame oil. Other massage styles and therapies include Swedish, deep-tissue, aromatherapy, reflexology, shiatsu, and Chinese sho fa. Traditional facials and body wraps can also be booked. Health and wellness counseling is also offered. This can include brief psychotherapy, relaxation training, or guided-imagery sessions. A nutritional counselor helps guests design programs with The Palms ´ registered dietitian and there is a nurse on duty. Guests can try hypnotherapy sessions to help conquer fears, phobias, and addictions.
